Voice of Root (Muladhara) Chakra:
“You are Divinely Supported. You have the right to be supported because you are born”
Introduction :
The 1st Chakra – Root Chakra is also called Muladhara Chakra. Muladhara is a Sanskrit word. The meaning of Muladhara is ‘root’ or ‘support’.
Depiction : The Root (Muladhara) Chakra is depicted as a four-leafed lotus with a square in its center in which a triangle is facing downward.
Location : This Chakra is located at the end of the spinal cord at the tail-bone in the back and the pubic bone in the front.
Description: The Root Chakra gives support and stability for your survival and growth, and makes you feel grounded and secure. All that you have achieved in the material world is derived from the energy of the Root (Muladhara) Chakra. The Chakra embodies the potential within you that has to be realized through karma or action in order to fulfill the purpose of human birth which is self-realization. It encourages you to stand on your own feet without support and also realize support from others and give support to others. Essentially it makes you realize Oneness with physical existence. When this Chakra is blocked, you may feel frightened, paranoid, insecure and anxious. Physical problems that coincide with a blockage in this Chakra are obesity, anorexia nervosa, sore knees, arthritis, hip problems and problems of the tail bone, the suprarenal’s gland, the spinal cord and the excretory organs.

With a healthy root chakra you will be seen with strong sense of security and safety in life. Nonetheless, if this chakra is blocked, you may experience irrational fears regarding your stability and survival, leading to a chronic state of anxiety. You may feel ungrounded, flighty, fearful, as well as a sense of not truly belonging anywhere and being unsupported. You may have a weak physical constitution in addition to problems with your bones, feet, legs, colon, elimination, or weight. It will be more difficult to maintain a pragmatic perspective or “common sense.” and you would feel “unsettled and unable to settle with the right opportunities.” You may be unable to commit to a job or be required to frequently relocate. On the other hand, a person with an unbalanced Root (Muladhara) chakra may become excessively pragmatic, plodding, and incapable of dreaming or imagining new possibilities.
Low back pain is typically the first sign of a lack of support or lack of nurturing in one’s life (or a perception of such a lack) and it can include sciatica as well. Varicose veins, tumors or polyps in the rectal region, depression, immune-related disorders, mental or emotional issues, a lack of self-understanding, attachment to family background and beliefs and behaviors learned from them, superstitions, and pain in the legs, feet, and everything that flows down from the lower back
to the toes are examples of a blocked Root (Muladhara) chakra.
When it is not balanced it can manifest as constipation, hemorrhoids and other dysfunctions of the bowels, the lower back, base of spine, legs and feet, disorders related to bones and teeth, general poor health and a lack of vitality and energy are all signs pointing to a blocked Root (Muladhara) Chakra.

If your root chakra is balanced then you will be well-grounded, with “common sense.” The practical side of your life will usually function fairly smoothly. You will have a sense of having (or will easily get) sufficient material resources to meet your needs. People with a well-balanced root Chakra are usually very healthy and earthy types, with healthy bones, teeth, feet, legs, colon and adrenal glands. Your weight will be in a healthy range. Your pelvic floor will be supportive too. They have the ability to support themselves and feel at home with themselves and the world. You will know that you belong here and be comfortable with the support system around you.
When your root chakra is in balance, you will feel secure throughout your entire body. Muladhara chakra connects us to everything that keeps us grounded. It connects us to our physical body, ensuring that we have all of our basic survival needs met, such as food, water, and shelter. When our root chakra is balanced, we feel more connected to the physical world. It will enhance the energy and connection between you and Mother Earth. Not only that, but it is also in charge of your emotional needs, such as the release of fear, and is governed by the fight or flight instinctual response. Thereby, a sense of fearlessness and reassurance facing life problems becomes steady. This assists in laying the foundation for your personal growth.
Everyone has access to the universe’s perpetual abundance of energy. The manifestation of this energy is money. When our root chakra is open and in harmony, we can access our natural state of being cared for in all circumstances. This invariably results in feelings of financial prosperity. Without fear blocking our acceptance of what exists around us, we can finally rest in the assurance that it will arrive and take pleasure in sharing this bounty with others. Wealth is a natural occurrence of a well-balanced root chakra.
A balanced Muladhara chakra provides a foundation for each of the higher chakras and maintains a steady flow of energy throughout the human body, strengthening our connection to the earth and our surroundings. This sense of calm and control can help individuals concentrate on their personal development, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
When your root chakra is balanced, you will have abundant energy throughout the day. You will be able to complete tasks and formulate sound plans for yourself. Life will be effortless and you will be pleased with all aspects of it. You will have purpose and direction.
An overactive Root (Muladhara) Chakra affects a person’s ability to remain grounded with a realistic picture of their life, past, present and future. As a consequence, the individual feel fearful and out of control, losing contact with a stable platform from which to drive their life. They don’t have it that clear where they are placing their feet and how stable or not is the surface beneath them. They lack a realistic map of where they are now in life, from where they come from and barely are able to see what their future goals may be in all honesty and clarity. Living life in this fast-forward and disoriented mode is not conducive to productive results, and the person feels it at some level, something wrong in the taken direction, which only keeps their anxiety growing more and more like in circles or in unstoppable cycles until they decide to slow down.
If your Root (Muladhara) is spinning very sluggishly or not at all, it affects your ability to remain grounded. You may appear spacey, incapable of inner stillness, and live in a fantasy world. Life might be a constant struggle to provide for life’s necessities. Issues like self-destructive behavior are also associated with a blocked Root (Muladhara) Chakra. Life is usually seen as a constant struggle to provide for one’s basic needs. Having an underactive root chakra doesn’t provide enough strength to get rid of issues and problems that otherwise are healthily confronted by an activated Muladhara. Low energy levels and low mood tend to be a symptom of an underactive root chakra.
Most commonly illnesses are weight issues, either obesity or anorexia nervosa, osteoarthritis, tail bone pain, sore knees, leg and ankle pain, sciatica, piles and varicose veins. Most forms of addictions like alcoholism and obsessive and compulsive disorders also relate to a blocked Root (Muladhara) chakra together with the under-functioning of other energetic areas.
You can heal and balance your Root (Muladhara) through various practical, daily actions.
Here are some healing ideas: belly breathe walk, especially walk barefoot in nature while mindfully feeling the touch with the earth, eat healthy food, especially eat root vegetables or healthy home-made food, create healthy order or structure in your life or home such as creating a filing system or putting up shelves in the garage or basement if you have belongings scattered in various places, take steps to “bring them home”. You may also wear an attractive hue of red color. Be centered in respect to your environment and all it has to give, and receptive to any and all changes that may cross your path. Surround yourself with pleasing, earthy smells, such as essential oils of cedar, clove, or patchouli.
Repeat affirmations such as: “I am safe.” “I have the right to be here.” I am Divinely Supported. I have the right to be supported because I am born. “I have a right to be me.” “My environment is a Safe and Secure place.” “Life is supportive.” “Everything is going to work out just fine.” “I belong.” “I have all that I need.” “The Universe provides for me sufficiently.” “All is well and I can let down my guard and rest.”.
Specific Rudraksha and gemstones when worn as per RRST give the required frequency and color to the Muladhara chakra to balance it. Once the chakra is balanced, physical and emotional symptoms disappear and the wearer is empowered to find his life purpose and face life with renewed energy and vigor. symptoms disappear and the wearer is empowered to find his life purpose and face life with renewed energy and vigor.
